Mustangs Post 66-59 Victory Over Colts

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs defeated the Middlesex County College Colts 66-59 Tuesday evening.

The Mustangs posted an overall strong performance against the Colts throughout the game. Freshman Mercedes Harris (Norristown) topped her career high for points in a single game with 36. Freshman Janay Winston (Phoenixville) tied hers with 19 points. Defensively the Mustangs also had solid performances from freshman Lauren Zoltek (Lansdale Catholic) and Carla Sirak (Ewing).

“This was a total team effort,” said Mustangs Head Coach Kelly Donohue. “Everyone stepped up and contributed to this win.”

The victory brings the women’s basketball team’s record to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference.
