Mustangs Fall to Cougars 61-76

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women’s basketball team fell to the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars 61-76 Saturday.

The game was tied up throughout most of the first half but with an aggressive offensive surge the Cougars pulled ahead by 10 points with two minutes left.

The Mustangs went into half time down by eight to the Cougars with a score of 22-30.

Trying to come back from the deficit the Mustangs kicked up their intensity but the effort was not enough to overcome the Cougars. The Cougars maintained the lead for the rest of the game which ended at the final score of Mustangs 61, Cougars 76.

This loss brings the women’s basketball team’s record to 4-2 overall and 4-1 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference.
