Mustangs Dominate Northampton in 6-0 Victory, Improve to 2-2-1

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs delivered their most complete performance of the season on Tuesday, cruising to a commanding 6-0 win over Northampton Community College to even their record at 2-2-1.

After a tightly contested opening half-hour, the Mustangs broke through in the 27th minute when Landon Neison buried a shot off a precise assist from Tensae Tedesse, giving Montgomery a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

The second half was all Mustangs, as they exploded for four goals in a ten-minute span to put the game out of reach. Justin Russell kicked off the second-half barrage, finishing a well-worked play set up by Logan Brock and Ethan O'Connell. Jake Luciani followed with a pair of goals, the first coming off a feed from Len Veersteeg. Veersteeg also tallied another assist minutes later, setting up Ethan O'Connell for a smooth finish.

Tensae Tedesse capped the dominant performance in the 82nd minute, scoring the final goal of the match to seal the Mustangs' emphatic win.

Montgomery will look to carry this momentum into their next match as they continue to climb the standings.
