Mustangs take 2 of 3 from Ocean County College

Montco Mustangs Triumph Over Ocean County College ( Game 1 )

Montco Mustangs were triumphant over Ocean County College 9-5 on Thursday at Montgomery County Community College.
 
Ocean County College got on the board in the top of the first inning after Montco Mustangs committed an error, and #32 grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
 
Nico Gomez-Vera singled to center field, which helped Montco Mustangs tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
 
Ocean County College took the lead in the top of the fourth. #11 grounded out, scoring one run, to give Ocean County College the leg up, 3-2.
 
An error gave Montco Mustangs the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fourth.
 
Carver Perrone earned the win for Montco Mustangs. The hurler surrendered four hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking four. #7 took the loss for Ocean County College. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking five. Mitchell Barajas appeared in relief for Montco Mustangs.
 
Montco Mustangs accumulated 14 hits in the game. Korbin Wale and Gomez-Vera each collected three hits for Montco Mustangs. Brett Minnich, Gomez-Vera, and Petyton Borchelt each drove in two runs for Montco Mustangs. Josh Camacho and Brenden O'Brien each collected multiple hits for Montco Mustangs. Montco Mustangs had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Chris Tomlinson, O'Brien, and Borchelt led the team with two bases on balls each.
 
#19, #28, and #5 each collected two hits for Ocean County College. #32, #28, #5, and #38 each drove in one run for Ocean County College. #32 and #28 each stole multiple bases for Ocean County College. Ocean County College ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game. Ocean County College turned one double play in the game.

Montco Mustangs Keep It Close Against Ocean County College, Lose On Walkoff ( Game 2)

Montco Mustangs fell to Ocean County College 10-8 on Friday at Ocean County College on the final play of the game. Ocean County College were down 8-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning when #3 hit a grand slam to left field.
 
Despite the loss, Montco Mustangs did collect 13 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Ocean County College had 10 hits on the way to victory.
 
Montco Mustangs jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after John Kurtz doubled, scoring one run, Josh Patrick singled, scoring one run, and Charlie Levy singled, scoring two runs.
 
#38 homered to left field, which helped Ocean County College tie the game at four in the bottom of the fourth.
 
A home run to right field by Chris Tomlinson gave Montco Mustangs the lead, 6-4, in the top of the fifth.
 
#38 homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Ocean County College.
 
#15 earned the win for Ocean County College. The reliever allowed five hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Mitchell Barajas took the loss for Montco Mustangs. The pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits, striking out one and walking one. Korbin Wale stepped on the hill first for Montco Mustangs. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking five. #7 led things off on the mound for Ocean County College. The hurler surrendered eight hits and six runs over five innings, striking out none and walking three.
 
Montco Mustangs collected 13 hits in the game. Patrick, Montco Mustangs's number nine hitter, led the team with four hits in four at-bats. Tomlinson and Levy each drove in two runs for Montco Mustangs. Ryan Bevins collected two hits for Montco Mustangs in four at bats. Bevins stole two bases. Montco Mustangs ran wild on the base paths, collecting three stolen bases for the game.
 
Ocean County College accumulated 10 hits in the game. #38 hit two home runs in the game. The cleanup hitter went 2-4 with two runs scored and four runs batted in. #3 went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Ocean County College in hits. Ocean County College were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. #19 had the most chances in the field with five.

Brett Minnich Drives In 4 To Lead Montco Mustangs Past Ocean County College ( Game 3)

Brett Minnich drove in four runs on four hits to lead Montco Mustangs past Ocean County College 19-3 on Friday at Montgomery County Community College. Minnich doubled in the fifth scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and doubled in the second scoring one.
 
Montco Mustangs got on the board in the top of the first inning after Minnich singled, scoring one run, Petyton Borchelt singled, scoring two runs, and Korbin Wale grounded out, scoring one run.
 
Montco Mustangs added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Minnich doubled down the left field line, and Montco Mustangs scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.
 
Montco Mustangs scored six runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run, Brenden O'Brien hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Ryan Bevins hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Charlie Levy singled, scoring one run, and Chris Tomlinson singled, scoring two runs.
 
Montco Mustangs scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fifth inning. Bevins drew a walk, scoring one run, Josh Camacho singled, scoring two runs, and Minnich doubled, scoring two runs.
 
Carver Perrone earned the win for Montco Mustangs. The pitcher gave up four hits and three runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking two. #33 took the loss for Ocean County College. The pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering 12 runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking two. Sean Crawford tossed one inning of no-run ball for Montco Mustangs in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
 
Montco Mustangs piled up 17 hits in the game. Tomlinson, Bevins, Levy, and Josh Patrick each collected multiple hits for Montco Mustangs. Montco Mustangs ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game.
 
#11 drove the middle of the lineup, leading Ocean County College with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. #38, #6, #19, and #11 each collected one hit for Ocean County College.
