Mustangs Ranked No. 15 Nationally in NJCAA DIII Preseason Poll

Blue Bell, PA — October 27, 2025

The buzz is building in Blue Bell. The Montgomery County Community College men's basketball team has earned a No. 15 national ranking in the NJCAA Division III Preseason Poll, a testament to the program's rise as one of the top junior college teams in the country.

Coming off a stellar 21-6 season, the Mustangs enter 2025–26 with momentum, experience, and unfinished business. Under Head Coach Koran Prince, MCCC has transformed into a fast-paced, hard-nosed squad that refuses to back down from a challenge and this year's group is poised to make another run at regional and national contention.

"It's great recognition for our players and the work they've put in," said Coach Prince. "But rankings don't win games — we've got to prove it every night. Our guys understand that, and they're hungry."

The Mustangs return several key contributors from last year's 20-win campaign, complemented by a talented incoming class that adds depth, athleticism, and shooting. Fans can expect the same aggressive defensive identity that made MCCC one of the toughest teams in Region 19 last season, combined with an offense that thrives in transition.

The road to another successful season begins at home, when the Mustangs tip off the 2025–26 schedule against Sussex County Community College on Tuesday, November 11 at 7 p.m. inside the Health Sciences Center Gymnasium.

As the preseason ranking confirms, the Mustangs are no longer flying under the radar. With high expectations, a strong returning core, and a fan base ready to roar, Montgomery County Community College basketball is ready to shine on the national stage.
