Fausnaught Named to All-Region Third Team, Several Athletes Make All-Academic Team

NJCAA Region XIX All-Region teams were announced on Friday. Center Fielder Ron Fausnaught continued his successful season by being named to the All-Region Third Team. Fausnaught had a .371 batting average this season, with a .486 slugging percentage. He also wracked up a team leading 21 runs on 39 hits. Fausnaught received another great honor when All-EPAC Academic teams were announced this week.

He was one of eleven athletes named to the EPAC All-Academic team this spring season. A 3.25 minimum GPA is the requirement for the All-Academic team. The spring season's 11 athletes makes 22 out of 85 unique athletes named to the EPAC All-Academic team this year. That's an incredible 25.9% of the Mustang athletes this season that have reached a 3.25 GPA while also participating in a rigorous athletic schedule.
