Harrisburg Area Community College is the reigning EPAC and Region XIX volleyball champion. On Tuesday, the Mustangs traveled to HACC for a match between the current number one and number two EPAC schools. Previously, the Hawks had defeated the Mustangs in the first game of the season for Montgomery. However, the Mustangs had improved a lot and were up to the challenge.
The first set lived up to they hype. Both teams traded the lead and fought incredibly hard. However, with the set into a win-by-two situation, the Hawks just barely edged out the Mustangs, 29-27. With their momentum gone, Montgomery struggled in the second and third sets, dropping both and losing the match 3-0.
This two-game losing streak is the longest for the Mustangs this season. A doubleheader against Manor College is next on the schedule for the Mustangs.
