Women's Volleyball: Win steak ended by Northampton Community College

Blue Bell, PA: The Mustangs Volleyball team suffered it's first loss of the season to Northampton Community College in three sets with scores of 18-25, 11-25, 21-25.

Freshman Setter Cayle Odorisio (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) led the team with 12 assists, 5 kills, and 14 digs. Tara Moffa (Hatfield, PA/North Penn contributed 13 digs while Middle Hitter Melanie Witter (Souderton, PA) added 3 blocks. As a team, the Mustangs had 19 kills, 13 assists, and 54 digs.

Coach Rita said "I am very proud of the girls and although we took a loss I think the girls held in there and didn't hang their heads. We realized the weak areas in our play and know what we need to work on from here on out. We are looking forward to playing Northhampton again and will be better prepared the next time."

The Mustangs are at home again on Saturday, September 17 against the Cougars of Lehigh Carbon County College, 12 PM.

The Mustangs are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC).
