NEWTOWN, Pa. - Julie Primavera scored a pair of goals and Marisa Christensen added another, but it wasn't enough as Bucks County Community College doubled up the Mustangs, 6-3, in Region XIX soccer action on Thursday.
Primavera opened the scoring in the 28th minute to give the Mustangs the early lead. However, it was short-lived as Kelsey Fuller netted goals in the 29th and 37th minutes to give the Centurions a 2-1 lead at the halftime.
Fuller struck again two minutes into the second half before Primavera answered with her second tally in the 53rd minute.
Bucks responded with Katie Briton scoring in the 57th minute to restore Bucks' two-goal lead. But the Mustangs continued to battle, with Primavera setting up Christensen for a goal in the 61st minute. The goal was Christensen's fourth in the last three games.
The Centurions added goals in the 76th and 79th minutes to close out the victory.
The Mustangs dropped to 0-6 on the season. Next up, an Oct. 8 match at Ocean County College.
