The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs dominated the Centurions of Bucks County Community College with a substantial 62-28 victory.
The Mustangs opened the game at a blistering pace racking up a 19-0 lead and shutting out the Centurions for over ten minutes of the first period. The Centurions got on the board with 9:54 to go before but were unable to make up much ground. The Mustangs went into the locker rooms at half time with a commading 33-19 lead.
In the second half the Mustangs kept the pressure on holding the Centurions to less than ten points for the remainder of the game. The Mustangs managed to accumulate 42 total points before the Centurions posted to the board. Keeping up the effort, the Mustangs tallied 29 points in the second half and walked away with a 62-28 win.
Freshman Mallory Mugnier led the Mustangs with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Amelia Stockman also notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Francesca Monterosso tailled 11 points, followed by Danielle Lillo and Ashley Waters who shot seven points each. Sophomore Dayna McCrewell also turned up big on the boards with 11 rebounds.
