Mustangs Softball: Mustangs Can't Match Dukes (Game 1)

Blue Bell, PA-- The Mustangs were hit with a hard loss, 24-4 against the Cumberland County College Dukes in a non-conference event, Tuesday, April 18th.

The Mustangs opened up game 1 of the doubleheader by taking the lead 1-0.

When Sophomore Siobhan Seymour #13 (Methacton High School/ Criminal Justice) was at bat, Sophomore Alison Henning #9 (Norristown High School/ Business Administration) managed to steal second and third base. Come time that Seymour hit a grounder into play, Henning sucessfully ran home. 

In the third, Freshamn Shannon Lee #3 (Souderton High School/ Phys Ed. & Health) scored on a steal of home.

After the Dukes scored one run in the top of the fourth, The Mustangs answered with one of their own. Sophomore Anna Morgan #12 (Plymouth Whitemarsh/ Liberal Studies) singled on a ground ball to shortstop allowing Freshman Anna Robinson #5 ( Plumstead Christian Academy/ Hospitatlity Management) to score from third.

Lee #3 (Souderton High School/ Phys Ed. & Health) scored off another steal of home in the bottom of the fifth.

The Mustangs now have a conference record of 4-2 and are 6-9 overall. Check out game 2 to see the results.
