The Mustangs men's soccer team earned a win on Thursday, with a 4-2 victory over the Cumberland County College Dukes.
Sophomore Corey Signore put the Mustangs ahead early in the game, scoring off a pass from freshman teammate Jon Prasky. A few minutes later the Dukes tied it up but the Mustangs answered back with goal from freshman Sean Robinson to regain the lead.
The Mustangs hoped to hold the 2-1 advantage but the Dukes tied it up for a second time just before the half time break.
Going into the second half, the Mustangs turned on the heat to dominate play. Just two minutes into play, sophomore Musa Ahamed found a breaking chance for Corey Signore, who knocked in Ahamed's pass for his second goal of the match.
At the 70:00 mark, freshman Anthony Defrancesco returned the favor, sending Ahamed a through ball, which he sunk in the back of the net for the Mustangs' fourth and final goal.
Mustangs Head Coach Matt Giordano was satisfied with the win. "We started out a bit slow, but the second half was much better. It was a good win for us."
