Schnecksville, PA: The men's basketball team fought a tough battle against the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars, but faced an upset loss by 1 point (85-84) in a conference game Thursday. By the end of the first half, the Mustangs played a successful 20 minutes, outscoring their opponent with a 15 point lead (47-32).
By next half, however, Lehigh came ready to dictate the floor and dropped 53 points on the boards to give them the single point win.
The Mustangs highest scorer of the night, Sophomore guard Kyle Pavlik (Chalfont/Lansdale Catholic) managed to put up 28 points. Following closely in suite, freshman guard Marvin Crawley (Glenside/ Abington) added 26 points and 9 rebounds. Freshmen guard JT Vaughan (Norristown/Norristown) also scored 9 points.
It was a tough loss as the Mustangs move to 5-10 overall and 4-5 in EPAC play. The Mustangs will host a conference game against the Thaddeus Stevens College Bulldogs on Tuesday for a 7 PM tip-off.
