The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's basketball team defeated the Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks 86-74 Saturday.
The Mustangs held a seven point advantage over the Hawks after the first half and continued their efforts to win by 12. Chris Uhrich was the leading scorer for the team, with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. Teammate Steve Kulp also earned a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. He also added four steals to the effort.
Nick Demeno collected six three-point shots for a total of 18 points, while Shane Isett rounded out the top scorers adding 13 to the Mustangs' total. Dexter Shy also contributed 11 rebounds in the win.
The Mustangs' sophomore night will be Tuesday Feb. 11, as they take on the Valley Forge Military Trojans. Game time is 6:00 p.m.
