The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's basketball team lost 76-95 to the Gloucenter County College Roadrunners.
The Roadrunners jumped out to an early 41-11 lead, hitting 11 three point shots in the first half. By half time the home team was up 61-32 over the Mustangs.
In the second half the Mustangs fought to come back, getting within nine points of the Roadrunners with 5:45 to play. However, the effort was not enough to overcome the Roadrunners, handing the Mustangs a 76-95 loss.
"We ran into a hot shooting team tonight, but our guys showed a lot of heart by fighting back," said Mustangs Head Coach Denny Surovec. "We played a great 2nd half, but it's hard to be successful when we're climbing uphill all night long."
Leading the Mustangs was Jah'lil Williams with 17 points, followed by Greg Mendrzycki with 16 points and Tyreek Magruder with 12 points. Darnell Clowney and Darryl Foye led the team in rebounds with seven each, followed by Mendrzycki with five.
