The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs defeated the Luzerne County Community College Trailblazers 75-45 in their last home game of the season.
The Mustangs dominated play in the first half, posting an aggressive 39-11 lead by half time. The Trailblazers fought to catch up in the second half, but could not outplay the Mustangs. The home team ultimately took the game with a 30-point victory.
The evening was dedicated to the second year sophomore players on the team. No. 4 Jah'lil Williams, no. 5 Shaquille Graham and no. 23 Darnell Clowney recieved flowers and accolades as they took the court for their last home game of the season. Williams was also honored for entering the Mustangs 500 Club, for which he qualified after scoring his 500th career point last week. Clowney earned the honor earlier in the year and Graham is less than 30 points from induction as well.
Williams finished his final home game with a bang, leading the Mustangs with a triple-double for the evening. He notched 12 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory. Clowney also had an outstanding night, racking up a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Graham contributed six points and two rebounds in the effort, along with an unwaivering positive attitude on the court.
