A strong County College of Morris team traveled to Blue Bell on Monday to take on the Mustangs.
Morris showed the strength of their record early, by batting in 12 runs in the first five innings. The Mustangs were only able to bring in 2.
But the Mustangs showed heart and determination and would not allow the game to end via the ten-run rule. They scored four straight runs and brought the score to 12-6 by the end of the seventh inning.
Even with Montgomery's strong attack, the Titans were not discouraged. They would score six more runs in the final two innings and take the game 18-7.
Even in a tough loss, the Sophmore leadership of the Mustangs helped spur them onto their mid game comeback. Logan Curley (Upper Perkiomen), Matt Ahmad (Pope John Paul) and Luke Deleo (Pope John Paul) had a combined 8 H and 5 RBI in the game.
Next on the schedule is a double header at Bucks County Community College on Saturday.
