Baseball: Mustangs Fall Short in Close Game

Cranford, PA: The Mustangs were defeated the Owls of Union County College by a score of 8-7 in a Region XIX contest.

The Mustangs were able to take the lead in the top of the 6th after scoring 3 runs. The Owls scored 1 run in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game back up. The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the 9th inning when the Owls scored the winning run to earn the victory. Sophomore Dan Janoson (Roslyn, PA/Bishop McDevitt) had another great day leading the Mustangs with 2 hits and 2 RBI's. Freshman Ty Wolfel (Pottstown, PA/Pottstown) also contributed 1 hit and 1 RBI.

The Mustangs currently have a conference record of 3-6 and 4-15 overall. The Mustangs next game will be away against the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd for a make-up game.

The Mustangs are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC).
