Mustangs Baseball: Mustangs Fall to Camden Cougars

Blackwood, NJ-- The Mustangs fell just short against the Camden County College Cougars in a 4-3 non-conference loss at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 12th.

Although the Mustangs managed to tie it up at the top of the third (1-1) and add an additional run at the top of the sixth (2-1), the Cougars responded back in the 6th with two runs to keep their lead, 3-2.

The Mustangs fired back in the 7th to score another run, only to have the Cougars seal the win with a final run at the bottom of the 7th.

Freshman Catcher, Joneur Nieves #16 (Spring-Ford High School/ Phys Ed. & Health) led the Mustangs with 2 hits, 1 RBI, and 1 run.

Freshman Outfielder, Kyle Callahan #24 (Archbishop Carroll High School)and Freshman Catcher, William Clarke  #8 (Music Major) accounted for the two other runs scored for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs now hold a conference record of 1-2 and 2-7 for their overall record. Their next game will be away at 3:30 p.m. against the Luzerne County Community College Trailblazers, Thursday, April 13th.
