Blue Bell, PA- The Mustangs locked down their first conference win of the season on Wednesday, April 5th.
Getting 11 total hits, the Mustangs brought home 8 runs, outscoring the Delaware County Community College Phantoms 8-5.
Tied up for the first two innings (1-1), the Mustangs really broke out in the bottom of the third, scoring 5 runs. Although this was enough to secure the win, they did not let up and scored another 2 runs in the 6th inning.
Freshman Outfielder, Kyle Callahan #24 (Archbishop Carroll High School/ Business Administration) led the Mustangs, scoring 3 runs and sending 3 other players home. Freshman Infielder, Dan Janoson #5 (Bishop McDevitt High School/ Phys Ed. & Health) also scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI.
Freshmen Infielder Paul Mudrick #23 (Perkiomen Valley High School/ Business Administration) and Catchers William Clarke #8 (Music Major) and Joneur Nieves #16 (Spring-ford Senior High School/ Phys. ed & Health) contributed 1RBI each for today's win.
The following Mustangs scored the remaining runs: Freshman Outfielder, Ken Bradford #7 (Lighthouse Christian Academy/ Criminal Justice), Freshman Infielder, Adam McKinlay #33 (Plymouth Whitemarsh/Business Administration), and Sophomore Pitcher, Nick Mikesick #2 (Perkiomen Valley/ Engineering).
The Mustangs will play against the Centurions of Bucks County Community College at home in a conference game at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6th.
