Baseball Team Playing The Waiting Game ...

Coach Lou Lombardo has been reduced to running simulated games with his ballplayers in the gymnasium as he and his team wait for weather and field conditions to improve so that the 2015 baseball season can resume. For now, they just watch and wait.

The latest casualty was Tuesday's scheduled home game vs. Luzerne County Community College which had to be postponed.

Weather and field conditions permitting, the Mustangs are slated to host Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday at 4 pm.

Friday's snow forced Mustangs baseball to postpone both of its scheduled doubleheaders for this past weekend -- Saturday vs. York College JV and Sunday'vs. Bucknell JV.

The doubleheader vs. York College JV has been rescheduled for next Saturday, March 28, beginning at noon at MCCC's Central Campus in Blue Bell.

A makeup game conflict forced the Chestnut Hill College JV Baseball team to postpone Thursday's scheduled afternoon game with the Mustangs.

Poor field conditions continue to prevent the baseball team from opening the season, as Wednesday's game vs. Penn State-Scranton has been postponed. No word yet on a makeup date.

Tuesday's Region XIX game vs. Raritan Valley Community College was also postponed due to issues with the field. No word yet on a makeup date.

Field conditions and weather prompted cancellation/postponement of baseball games originally scheduled for this past weekend as well.

Sunday's rescheduled doubleheader between the Mustangs and PSU Scranton was postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, March 18.

The game vs. Temple University Club Team, originally slated for Sunday afternoon, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a date to be determined.
