In game one, the Mustangs were off to a good start, rallying for a 2-0 lead going into the bottom of the third inning. But the Colts picked up the pace, posting four runs in the third, then another 10 in the fourth. The Mustangs fought back to earn an additional run but were unable to catch the Colts. The game concluded in a 17-3 victory for the Colts.
Game two proved to be a much closer game. Middlesex took an early 1-0 lead, but the Mustangs answered back to capture the lead 2-1 in the third. However the lead bounced back in the Colts' favor one more time with runs in the sixth inning. The Mustangs rallied in the seventh but could only convert a single run to ultimately lose the game 3-4.
